The Ivy League Club of Sarasota and Manatee Counties is an active group of alumni from all eight Ivy League schools who just happen to live in the beautiful Gulf Coast area of Florida.
2023 - 2024 Season Membership
Please consider joining or renewing your membership in the Ivy League Club. Our current fiscal year runs from November 2023 through October 2024. We also offer a Young Alumni membership tier. Members who were under 30 years of age as of November 1, 2023 will pay dues at the rate of $25.00. Members over 30 will renew at our regular annual membership rate of $50.00.

SPRING INTO SPRING
Evening Social at the Sarasota Yacht Club
Join us for the Ivy League Club's annual Spring into Spring evening social! This gives us an opportunity to step away from our formal monthly luncheons and enjoy each other's company in a festive setting. Members can focus on making new connections and getting to know other alumni across the Ivy League.
The event will be held on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024 from 6 - 9pm. The venue is the Sarasota Yacht Club in downtown Sarasota (1100 John Ringling Blvd). Our event will be located just off the foyer on the main floor (in our normal space).
We will enjoy a delicious buffet dinner that will include a carving station with beef tenderloin, roasted salmon and chicken, delightful sides and a generous salad station. Two dessert options will be available, as well as a standard beverage service. We will also have a cash bar set up for the entire event, conveniently located in the dining area.
The Sarasota Yacht Club has a beautiful view of the Bay. Valet parking will be available, as well as use of the parking lot under the building. Attire is business casual, in line with our other luncheon and social events.

SPEAKER DINNER* at the Bird Key Yacht Club
*Jointly sponsored by the Ivy League Club, Economics Club, and Harvard Club of Sarasota
We will hold a special 3-course dinner meeting of the Ivy League Club, the Economics Club, and the Harvard Club of Sarasota on April 20th, 2024 at the Bird Key Yacht Club.
Our speaker will be Archie Jones, Harvard Business School Senior Lecturer of Business Administration in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management, who will discuss equity investment and value creation in underinvested markets along with leveraging leadership capital to inspire, educate, and empower the next generation of leaders. For the talk, Archie will draw upon his extensive field work, case work, and corporate experience.
SPEAKER BIO:
Archie Jones is a Managing Director of Six Pillar Partners and Senior Lecturer of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School with appointments in both the Finance and Entrepreneurial Management Units. In 2021 he was awarded the Robert F. Greenhill Award in recognition of his positive impact on the Harvard Business School community.
Archie has held executive positions with both public and private companies including Merrill Lynch Capital Partners, Parthenon Capital, Kenexa IBM, and NOW Corporation. With his focus on strategy, private equity and corporate M&A transactions, Archie has led successful private equity investments and value creation in public and private companies across a variety of industries and sectors in the US, Asia, and Europe. He works to maximize the impact of high-growth, innovative enterprises in both private and social sectors, and his social impact work with organizations such as Year Up and New Profit have driven innovation and systemic change.
Archie currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Project Evident and as a board member of FLEETCOR, the Taly Foundation, the Mickey Leland Kibbutzim Foundation, and First Choice Credit Union. He served as a Partner at New Profit, a board member of Year Up National, and a founding board member and Vice Chairman of Year Up Greater Atlanta. As the founder and CEO of NxGen COACH Network™, Archie draws from his leadership journey to empower and coach the next generation of global leaders.
At the Harvard Business School, Archie provides insights and actionable advice to aspiring business students and seasoned leaders on topics ranging from entrepreneurship and innovation to board service and impact through governance. About the club
The Ivy League Club was established in 1957. Today, members get together for monthly luncheon meetings with guest speakers and annual events such as ballet, opera, spring and fall evening socials, and spring training baseball games.
In addition to club activities, the club's Scholarship Fund provides grants to current Ivy League students who require financial aid support. Members who donate $1000 or more join our 1957 Society and are recognized annually in our Printed Membership Directory. Please donate today!
