The Ivy League Club of Sarasota and Manatee Counties is an active group of alumni from all eight Ivy League schools who just happen to live in the beautiful Gulf Coast area of Florida.

Our current program year runs from November 1, 2024 through October 31, 2025.
We offer a Young Alumni membership tier at the rate of $25.00 for alumni who were under 30 years of age as of November 1, 2024. Members over 30 will renew at our regular annual membership rate of $50.00.

*FEB 25, 2025 (4th Tuesday) at 12 noon - Luncheon at Marina Jack in Sarasota, featuring The Ringling's Chief Curator Dr. Sarah Cartwright, who will be speaking on the topic of: "Juana Romani: Forgotten No More."
In this talk, Dr. Cartwright will discuss the work of Juana Romani (1867-1923; born Italy, active in France), a painter who achieved enormous fame in her lifetime only to be nearly forgotten by the time of her death. The Ringling will feature its recently acquired painting by Romani in a focus exhibition in the European galleries later this year.
About Dr. Sarah Cartwright:
Sarah Cartwright is Chief Curator and Ulla R. Searing Curator of Collections at The Ringling. She has a PhD in Art History and Archaeology from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University. Prior to her arrival at The Ringling in 2013, Cartwright was a research associate at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at Columbia University, and a curator at Villa La Pietra in Florence, Italy. At The Ringling, Cartwright is responsible for the museum’s collection of European and American paintings, sculpture, and works on paper from antiquity to 1900 CE. She has published and presented on a wide array of subjects, ranging from Italian manuscript illumination to ancient carved gemstones to the 19th-century French painter Rosa Bonheur. Her most recent project at The Ringling has been co-curating the international loan exhibition Guercino’s Friar with a Gold Earring: Fra Bonaventura Bisi, Painter and Art Dealer and co-authoring its catalogue.

About the club
Founded in 1957, the Ivy League Club of Sarasota-Manatee is the oldest Ivy League Club in the country, bringing together alumni of Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, Princeton and Yale around engaging activities including:
- annual sporting events,
- cultural group activities,
- evening networking events and happy hours,
- spring and fall evening cocktail socials,
- monthly luncheons featuring highly engaging speakers on global topics of interest as well as discussions around opportunities and trends within the greater Sarasota-Manatee County, Florida area,
- other Member benefits, including alumni meet-and-greets and volunteer opportunities within the Club and our community at large.
In addition to club activities, the club's Scholarship Fund provides grants to current Ivy League students who require financial aid support. Members who donate $1000 or more join our 1957 Society and are recognized annually in our Printed Membership Directory. Please donate today!
