September 26th - SPEAKER LUNCHEON
Our next luncheon will be held on Tuesday, September 26th, at Marina Jack. Our speaker will be Richard “Dick” Hoey - Ivy League Club member and Yale class of 1965. Dick Hoey has been chief economist, chief market strategist and equity portfolio manager for a number of leading financial firms over the course of a 56-year career on Wall Street. Highlights include serving as chief economist of BNY Mellon, Dreyfus, Drexel Burnham Lambert, Bache and A.G. Becker. In addition to his macro roles, he is experienced in specific stock analysis from his role as sole portfolio manager of a stock mutual fund at Dreyfus, which he built from start-up to $2B in assets.
Dick will speak on the outlook for the global and U.S. economies as well as the bond, stock and currency markets. His presentation will include two special topics: the budget deficit and the recent bank crisis. This should be a fascinating presentation from a Wall Street legend.
This event will be held on Tuesday, September 26th starting at 12pm. You may arrive up to 15 minutes early and we will wrap up no later than 1:30pm. The location is Marina Jack in downtown Sarasota (2 Marina Plaza). We will be in the Bay Front Room located on the second floor.
Lunch will consist of a plated entree with sides and a dessert. Water, tea and coffee are included as well. Parking is available in the adjacent parking lot or via the inexpensive valet service.
The cost is $35 / person. Spouses and guests are welcome. Please complete the form below to RSVP and pay. Questions or issues? Contact Peter Offringa at poffringa@gmail.com.
